The Mix

Batch receipe:

  • 2 cups lemon juice
  • 4 cups honey lavender mint syrup*
  • 6 cups hot water

Serve batch in a hot carafe. Stir frequently as syrup may settle.

Flight-sized cocktail directions:

  1. Pour ½ ounce VHW Port Cask Finished Whisky into glass mug       
  2. Add 1 ounce hot toddy batch.
  3. Top with 1 drop Blackwater Bitters Co. lavender bitters and garnish with a lemon peel

Full-sized cocktail directions:

  1. Pour 1½ ounces VHW Port Cask Finished Whisky into glass mug       
  2. Add 3 ounces hot toddy batch.
  3. Top with 2 drops Blackwater Bitters Co. lavender bitters and garnish with a lemon peel

* For lavender honey simple syrup combine 2 cups honey, 2 cups hot water, 1 cup lavender flowers, and ½ cup mint leaves (or 4 tablespoons premade mint simple syrup) into a sauce pan and heat on low for 10 minutes, making sure not to boil, as the lavender will turn bitter. Remove completely from heat and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain, refrigerate and store for up to 2 weeks.
