Join us on a distilling adventure as we celebrate our founder, Dr. George G. Moore, and his journey in the creation of Virginia Distillery Company. The Journey Cask series showcases exclusive single casks of aged single malt whisky from world-renowned producers.

The traditional name of each region is used to identify the offering, a nod to the traditions of the past.

The Journey Cask Collection is an opportunity to pay tribute to mentors who influenced the creation of Virginia Distillery Company. Caledonia honors Master Distiller Jim McEwan and his role in achieving distilling excellence.

Caledonia, the traditional name for Scotland, is a single cask from a classic Scottish producer. This limited release whisky rested in a first-fill ex-Bourbon cask for 10 years and showcases the nuance of the originating distillery.

This single cask is bottled at cask strength (62% ABV) and showcases a heavier style, with depth of color and notes of dark toffee and crème brûlée.

Only 144 bottles were produced of this specialty whisky from one of Islay’s most famous distilleries.

This is a limited distillery only release, and bottles were only made available for shipping to addresses in the state of Virginia. This release was November 30th, 2020 and sold out the same day.
