The approach we've taken regarding reopening our Visitors Center in central Virginia in June was to be a month behind the state of Virginia’s official re-opening phase. This approach allowed us to keep the safety of the team and our guests at the forefront of our operations.
Even though Virginia is now in Phase 3, which means indoor and outdoor dining areas are allowed, we’ve decided to pause Visitors Center operations until October.
We’re not ready to move forward with indoor service quite yet, and outdoor tastings don’t mix well with the July and August heat in Virginia for both our team and guests. While the distillery remains case-free, we feel this short-term closure is in best interests.
Our team has adhered to strict sanitation and cleaning practices and those same measures will be a priority for each day moving forward, and for when we do resume service.
Whisky production will still be in motion and we will still be shipping whisky. We will let you know our plans to re-open our Visitors Center as soon as we have them. Until then, cheers and be well.
The inaugural release of Courage & Conviction and our other award-winning whiskies are available across the country.
