• 1.5 oz Courage & Conviction Double Cask Reserve
•1/2 oz maple-butter pecan syrup *
•2-3 dashes chocolate bitters
•Splash of club soda
•Orange peel for garnish
Combine whisky, syrup and bitters in a shaker. Shake and pour over ice in a coupe or rocks glass and add a splash of club soda.
*Maple-butter pecan syrup: bring 8 oz water to a boil. Add 16 oz maple syrup, 1/2 cup chopped pecans and 2 oz of butter. Steep for 15 minutes and strain into sealed container.
