The Mix

Makes one cocktail.

  • ¾ oz Chardonnay Cask Finished Virginia-Highland Whisky 
  • ¾ oz Brewers Batch Virginia-Highland Whisky 
  • ¼ oz cherry syrup OR pomegranate honey syrup 
  • 5 drops  chocolate bitters 
  • Luxardo cherry garnish

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a mixing glass. 
  2. Add ice and stir.  
  3. Strain into rocks glass and garnish.   

*Recipe for pomegranate honey syrup: Combine 1 cup pom juice and 1 cup honey over medium heat, stirring until honey dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool. Yields 1 ½ cups

Brewers Batch Virginia-Highland Whisky is made from 100% malted barley, marrying American Single Malt whisky made on-site in Virginia with aged malt whisky from Scotland.  This whisky features finishing casks from local breweries.

A true collaboration, the partner brewery uses casks from Virginia Distillery Company to age the beer in, and the distillery takes the casks back for use in finishing Brewers Batch Virginia-Highland Whisky for an additional 8 to 16 months.
